Grange Insurance President and CEO John Ammendola has been recognized as a top executive of one of the 50 smartest companies in Columbus, Ohio, by
Smart Business Magazine.
Since 2014, Smart Business Magazine’s Columbus Smart 50 Awards have recognized top executives of the smartest companies in central Ohio for their ability to effectively build and lead successful organizations. The winners represent a wide range of companies and industries in the central Ohio area and are chosen by a peer-led review panel.
Through John’s leadership, Grange Insurance has positioned itself to become a thriving survivor in an evolving industry. His peers recognized the difference his leadership has made in strengthening the company’s financial position and ensuring the future of the business. Grange Insurance is embracing new technology and ideas that are truly making the company a “smart” and efficient organization.
Ammendola, along with the other winners, was honored at a special celebration at the Exchange at Bridge Park in Dublin on July 18. Cheryl Lebens, Chief Risk and Strategy Officer for Grange Insurance, was present to accept the award on Ammendola’s behalf.
The ceremony also included a keynote address on what it takes to lead a successful “smart” company and an award ceremony that acknowledged three organizations for their achievements in the areas of innovation, impact and sustainability. The Smart 50 Awards currently take place in Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh.
