COLUMBUS, Ohio – United Way of Central Ohio recognized the outstanding campaigns of partner organizations at its annual Celebration of Excellence luncheon on May 2. In partnership with United Way, these organizations help fight poverty in our community.
Grange Insurance received the highest honor, the Corporate Award of Excellence, which recognizes overall achievement in corporate and volunteer philanthropic efforts. Grange’s deep commitment to philanthropic leadership is evident in its employee volunteer engagement, dollar for dollar company match on gifts, and impressive leadership giving efforts. This year, Grange employees increased their donations by a generous 12%.

This is the twelfth year that the Corporate Award of Excellence has been presented. Previous winners include American Electric Power, Nationwide, UPS, Deloitte and Columbia Gas of Ohio. The awards were presented by Robert Schottenstein, president and CEO, M/I Homes, who served as 2016 campaign co-chair; Lisa S. Courtice, Ph.D., United Way of Central Ohio president and CEO; and Angel Harris, SVP, resource development and chief development officer at United Way of Central Ohio.
