COLUMBUS, Ohio – UnitedHealthcare has honored Grange Insurance with a “Well Deserved” award for implementing a successful workplace well-being program that helps improve employee health.

“It’s a pleasure to work with Grange Insurance and see firsthand their commitment and support in helping their employees live healthy lives,” said Caitlin Clipp, executive director, UnitedHealthcare of Ohio. “An increasing number of companies recognize that well-being programs enhance employee health, satisfaction and productivity, and differentiate themselves as employers from other organizations.”

“We believe the road to a productive, rewarding work environment begins with associate wellness, and we’re proud to be recognized for our comprehensive wellness program,” said Grange Insurance Wellness Specialist Rea Jean Hix.

Grange Insurance associates can participate in a wellness incentive program, weight management program, financial wellness program, annual wellness fair, onsite health screenings, company-sponsored sports activities, regularly scheduled group fitness classes, as well as use an onsite fitness facility and meet with an onsite nurse, dietitian and personal trainer.

Grange Insurance is one of 10 U.S. employers to be honored with UnitedHealthcare’s Well Deserved award this year.

According to an UnitedHealthcare analysis, when compared to their peers, employees of Well Deserved award winners show lower costs and better engagement in key areas such as wellness and preventive screening compliance, selecting appropriate care settings and using care providers that are highly ranked for quality care and cost-efficiency.

This is UnitedHealthcare’s 10th year honoring employers that have implemented innovative well-being programs to support their employees’ health goals. To review and judge all applicants, UnitedHealthcare works with an external broker review panel.
