Excellent (mostly) Customer Service
When I had my accident last year, the agent who handled my claim was above and beyond what I had expected in dealing with agents from previous companies. She guided me in what I needed to gather and present, and truly seemed caring about MY well-being. I dealt with one less-than-friendly lady who refused to provide help, but when I called back in, the lady who answered the call offered solutions and work-arounds to accomplish what I needed. All in all, a positive experience overall!

Grange has covered the cost of our basement backflow twice...the first time completely and second time only half probably because of the increase in construction costs and supplies. The companies they employ to do the work have been excellent. Our agent rapidly changes the number of cars that are covered depending on the season (our sportscar stays in the garage all winter). I expect Grange is responsive to those changes. The online method of billing (I get emails) is very effective and makes it easy for me to stay on top of the payments.

I got hit by one of there clients that hit me and ran.i gave them the plate number and name from police report.they got my money and filed a claim in less then 24 hours customer service rep was so helpful and nice.good company and people who care.

I had a basement floated last summer and only because I did the job by myself you guys didn’t pay me the last amount which is not fair because all you should be worry about is that the job was done per city code, I do construction work and I have my own business and still you guys didn’t want to pay me the last amount so I’m not happy at all and I wouldn’t recommend you guys with somebody else.

No Folow up
Recently I submitted a claim to Grange for my homeowners due to a plumbing issue from adjacent condo, not my fault. Adjust lied and never follow up. To do this, I have never received a finalization as to why I did not get my deductible.

Good until you're in an accident
I know I'm responsible for a raise in my premium after a my fault accident, but double the amount is too much. What about all those years I paid thousands without any accident? That's the point of insurance...everyone contributes to cover everyone else.

Been with Grange over 50 Years
I got my license when I turned 16 and my father had grange back then, I got married years later and we still kept grange. Were now in our September years and still have Grange. Our Broker is here in Findlay,OH we had a terrible hail storm back in 2009 while our neighbors were hagling over roofs, windows, car damage, we had a adjuster the next day and gave us a check in hand, 100% customer service. My only complaint is since we are seniors would enjoy having lower rates. Our agents do their best but I still shop around and its a little cheaper, but now enjoy to change so far. I haven't checked alot but we can brag about being Grange customers for that long. Now that were older, costs and financing is a bigger part of our life. Still a great product

Very Difficult Experience
I rarely complete reviews unless I want to celebrate great service. Our experience with Grange was the opposite. I was in an accident with a driver insured by Grange who rear-ended me in July 2025. The agent we were assigned to was challenging from start to finish. She would not accept the quotes we received, the option she gave us was an hour from our home, getting the rental car arranged was challenging, etc. I asked for a new contact and was denied. I called and messaged repeatedly asking to speak to their supervisor - I received one response which was that they did not share our concern and that if we wanted to move forward with a repair, she was our one option. 0/5 do not recommend :(
