They will not be there for you
Make it easy, do not think they will be there for you. If you get hit and the person flees , don’t think they will pay you a fair value. They used valuations form cars that had almost double miles, look like they were not in good condition and are not even for sale anymore. Even if you car was in excellent condition they don’t care. If you have new tires with less than 3K miles except a 20% value on them. Have used them in the past and they where great, but customer service is bad now. I also don’t understand if you where hit and have full coverage why would you only get paid wholesale cost not MSRP? I will be switching after years of being a loyal customer because they lowballed me on a totaled car from a hit and run. I can not replace what I had and will cost me thousands more. Not the company I used for years. I did find a Van that was sorta like mine even down to same condition and asked if they could just get that for me, nope.

A great adjuster to have
Rachael was a fantastic adjuster. My claim was for a soot blowback that started in the basement but ended up covering the entire house in soot. Rachael was very responsive and was out to inspect the damage the day after she was assigned to the claim. The restoration company ended up getting soot on the carpets upstairs with their foot traffic when they were not careful about where they were walking. Luckily Rachael saw this and made sure that the carpets were taken care of. When it came to content coverage she caught some missed items from the pricing specialist in her review and made sure the missed items we included in the coverage. In a difficult situation where my home and belongings were in shambles, I had to relocate for a few months, and had difficulties with contractors and materials, Rachael was a bright spot in what was otherwise a nightmare. Rachael and Grange insurance looked out for me throughout the process. I was very happy with the coverage and care that was provided to me.

Very bad service!
It is very surprising to me that this insurance has such good reviews here, but from our experience the service is very poor. Had an accident more than a month ago and no one is answering our calls or updating us on the claim (more than two weeks!). Frustrating!

Impossible Customer Service
Not the first time this has happened. The Grange website is not responding. Trying to troubleshoot and see if it is on my end and you cannot get anyone from any of 1-800 numbers. It is an endless loop of automated messages. What a waste of 45 minutes of my day again and I still cannot make a payment.

I was in an accident a few months ago & I made a report. Since it was in a Fault state, this insurance company has to cover the damages covered by the other driver. I had notified & submitted both pictures of my car as well as the dash cam proof to show the accident. The at fault driver also took pictures & not once did they deny this accident (& they still have not, as it's a family member). It took 2 ½ weeks from my arrival back to my own state to get my car looked at. Dealership inspected car & after reaching out to the insurance, they submitted the pictures. Three days after Christmas I received a letter stating that if they had not heard from me in 10 days from the "mailed letter date" they would void my claim. They claimed to have sent this letter on the 16th of December, yet I received it on the 28th. It takes 2-3 max to receive a paper letter from this location, which implies fraud. The letter even states insurance fraud is a criminal charge, which is obvious that IT IS insurance fraud. I have video evidence of receiving this letter 12 days after they claim they sent it. After contacting the representative, I have not heard a peep. I will contact this rep 1 month & 3 days after my last contact & if I have not heard back I will be reporting this to the DAs office & filing suit against this fraudulent voided claim. In the case of insurance fraud, you may hold the responsible party for 3x the amount of damages plus lawyer fees. My car is a $35k brand new car, with at least $5k worth of work. My lawyer is $1.5k everytime I have a meeting. I have a sibling who has had an insurance company make fraudulent charges against him & the DAs office removed this information from their history & fined the company (states away) & this time I will seek for damages, unlike my sibling. Insurance lawsuits last up to 2 years in my state, which is quite affordable for me. Understanding your rights & insurance is a adulting must, yet know one teaches this to anyone. Hoping that leaving this here helps another person like me & I hope that they are smart enough to pursue the company, as well. Dash cam are a must as well as ring cameras in these cases! I have evidence of me opening my letter received with a fraudulent date clearly written on it, as well as I have a video of the accident that occurred.

Quick and fair. I’m kinda amazed
I totaled my car hitting a dee. I was amazed at how quickly they responded and actually took care of my problems. Towing my car, getting it looked at, and being fair when it was a total loss with their appraisal of my car. I was kinda amazed there was no haggling over settlement. Kept me informed the whole time about the progress on my claim. I am very impressed with Grange Insurance and I appreciate how they handled my claim.
