Easy Pay (EFT) questions
What is Easy Pay?
Easy Pay is a convenient way to pay your premium electronically (often called electronic funds transfer or EFT). With Easy Pay, your premium is automatically deducted from your checking or savings account each month.
When will Easy Pay payments be deducted from my account?
Grange will send a zero dollar pre-note transaction to the specified account holder's financial institution to validate routing and account number for policies/accounts set up on Easy Pay (EFT). Your payments will be deducted from your bank account no earlier than your withdrawal date. Grange will send you a payment schedule listing your premium withdrawal dates and amounts.
Can Easy Pay automatic withdrawals be made monthly, quarterly or on some other cycle?
To minimize the chance that you'll forget a scheduled payment date, Easy Pay is available only for monthly payments.
Can I change the date my Easy Pay payment is automatically withdrawn?
Yes. You can select a date between the 1st and 28th of every month to have your payment withdrawn from your bank account. Simply log into your MyGrange account or contact your Grange agent.
Will I still get a monthly invoice if I enroll in Easy Pay?
Grange will not generate monthly invoices or statements for customers enrolled in Easy Pay unless there are any changes that will alter your withdrawal amount.
How will policy changes affect my Easy Pay payments?
The new premium amount will be spread evenly among the remaining installments. If a change made to your policy in the previous term results in additional premium due, that additional premium will be included in your next bill and deducted from your account with your next payment.
What if my account has insufficient funds at the time of an Easy Pay withdrawal?
Grange will automatically attempt to withdraw the payment a second time. If the Easy Pay transaction is returned for non-sufficient funds (NSF), you'll be charged a return payment fee and Grange will begin the process of canceling your policy.
If an Easy Pay transaction is returned for any other reason, your policy will be removed from the Easy Pay billing system immediately and Grange will start the process of canceling your policy.
What if I no longer want to pay my premium through Easy Pay?
Grange must receive a request from you at least 10 days before your scheduled payment withdrawal date. You may submit your request using one of the following methods:
- Log into your MyGrange account.
- Contact your Grange agent.
- Fax your request to Grange Billing at (614) 449-6722 or (614) 449-6723.
